Theatre Choir

not your typical stand and sing situation

Maybe you used to sing. Maybe you acted or danced once, back when you had the time, the nerve, or the knees. Maybe you’ve never performed at all, but something in you still longs to try. Or maybe you’re already singing, dancing, or performing and just want a space that’s fun, welcoming, and a little bit different – with room to grow, stretch, and challenge yourself along the way.

Wherever you’re starting from – active, rusty, nervous, or brand new – you belong here.

This isn’t your typical stand-and-sing choir. Think of it as a live music video meets mini-theatre production. Every song becomes its own performance piece, with singing, acting, and movement woven together.

Along the way, you’ll explore:

  • Vocal technique & song interpretation – finding your unique sound and style

  • Movement & dance – expressive, energising, and tailored to your comfort level

  • Acting & performance skills – bringing songs to life with character and emotion

Come as you are

There are no auditions, no pressure, and no need to be “good.” This is a safe, supportive space where every voice is welcome – shaky or strong, quiet or bold. You don’t have to get it right; you just have to show up.

All skill levels welcome!

No prior skills or training required – just bring your voice and your enthusiasm. If you’re brand new, you’ll be supported to learn the basics in a fun, welcoming way. If you’re an experienced performer, you’ll be challenged to further develop your craft and step out of your comfort zone.

Step into the spotlight with a mini solo, duet, or trio. Or, if that makes you break out in hives, happily hide in the background as part of the mob.

And you’ll be in safe hands: guided by Kendall Bryant – an award-winning theatre director, performer, choreographer, and creative producer with decades of experience in teaching, devising, and nurturing voices and stories on stage. Kendall’s approach is high-energy, playful, and deeply supportive, making space for everyone to grow in confidence while having a lot of fun along the way.

Whether you’re trying something completely new, getting back into something you used to love, or simply carving out two hours a week that’s just for you – the Theatre Choir is your invitation to step back into the spotlight, whatever that looks like for you.
