Performing Arts Training

Art for People’s Sake’s training programs are an opportunity for those serious about a career in performing arts, or simply those talented folk out to have fun, to further develop their acting, singing and dance skills in a supportive learning environment.

Through a range of community partnerships and professional collaborations, students can gain valuable performance and creative experience throughout the program.

ABOUT OUR PROGRAMS

A Unique Experience

Taking a ‘learning by doing’ approach, Art For People's Sake offers exceptional training in multidisciplinary performing arts for all levels, from beginner through to professional, in a safe and supportive environment. No experience is necessary and no audition process required (only for potential lead performers).

Rehearsals are conducted in a workshop manner. Participants are coached in singing, acting, dance and movement while learning specific roles, vocal arrangements and choreographies for performance. Our dance honours the body you find yourself in. We take the time to ensure that performers are grasping all concepts and adapt the learning environment to suit their individual needs. We make an effort to get to know our performers so that they can reach their full potential.

Our programs cater for all levels in a multi level environment to allow for individual attention to the specific needs and challenges of each student over the course of their journey.

“Talent knows no age” yet cannot be realised without self-confidence and self-worth, from which all else flows. Blended age ranges result in greater learning for all participants, enhances quality and enables each participant to find their strengths.

2024 Production: It's Possible

3 October 2024

This year, we have been engaged by Crossway LifeCare to develop an evening performance to promote their purpose and support their annual fundraising campaign. Crossway LifeCare’s mission is to help people in tough places flourish. Crossway LifeCare provides wonderful, inclusive and caring services to local community members, regardless of whether they belong to their church community. We’re delighted to be collaborating with Crossway LifeCare: we understand the power of the work they do, and how necessary it is in our community. Written and choreographed by our director, Kendall Bryant, this year’s ‘It’s Possible’ performance will feature musical theatre and dance compositions that share the story of radical hospitality and the power of potential. Written to reflect the diversity of everyone in our community, we’re hoping our class compositions will do the same.
